The Happiness Factor

It does not take a rocket scientist to tell you that happy people live better lives. Happy people are also more pleasant and people enjoy being around them. When you create happy experiences your body produces a hormone called oxytocin. This hormone helps extend life where cortisol, called the stress hormone, reduces life. Yes, we do need cortisol because it is needed in ‘fight and flight’ situations but too much of it will but a strain on the heart.

Now in order to be happy, you got to protect yourself! It would not be wise to seek counsel from the ungodly or associate with people who scorn holy things that are sacred to you (psalm 1:1). Negativity breathes negativity. You need to surround yourself with people who are in one accord with your belief and value system. Have people who encourage you and lift you up in your life. It is time to let go of those who don’t support and encourage you. Remember, when you let go of these people, don’t be sad.  It is important to excrete. If garbage is not thrown away it will eventually start to stink.

Live a stink free life and embrace the happiness factor, always delight yourself in the Lord.

This has been a Flaming Word experience!

  1. This is my first time my spouse and i visit here. I ran across so many interesting stuff in your blog, specifically its debate. From the a great deal of comments in your posts, I suppose I am not on your own having all of the enjoyment right here! Keep up the excellent work.
